Throw-Your-Own-Latke Party

Invite the friends and heat up the oil, the latke party is ready to begin. This hands-on Hanukkah basket will get the recipients into the kitchen shredding potatoes, setting the table and firing up the CD player. Great for families with kids or young adults who want to celebrate Hanukkah with friends.

-Smoked salmon pate (Melissa Clark of the New York Times loves this on her latkes)
