Kosher Gift Box and our Commitment to the Environment

We at Kosher Gift Box are extremely environmentally-conscious. While attempting to minimize our carbon-footprint, we make efforts on many fronts to Be Green. And you are helping - online shopping is an environmentally responsible way to shop since it avoids driving around from store to store, minimizing the use of fossil fuels and reducing pollution.

What We’re Doing

HIRING LOCALLY:

All of our employees live within 2 miles of our packing facility, which means there’s not a lot of driving involved to get to work. Weather-permitting, our employees often they ride their bikes!
We hire high school students to pack and ship our orders, and since our offices are right next door to the high school, our packers often walk to work.

MINIMIZING PACKAGING WASTE:

Our baskets are filled with items that have minimal packaging, so there is little for both us and you to throw out.
We choose our shipping boxes carefully to ensure that your gifts fit snugly in the box, avoiding the need for large quantities of Styrofoam peanuts, packing paper, etc.
While making sure every gift we pack looks beautiful, we avoid excessive and environmentally unfriendly ribbons and "do-dads". Rather, we adorn all of our gifts with paper-based raffia, and all baskets are reusable. Rest assured, while we are environmentally responsible, our gifts are still beautiful (just ask our customers!).

RECYCLING:

We receive a lot of deliveries from our vendors and every single box and plastic container is recycled.
We encourage gift recipients to recycle the shipping box that their Kosher Gift Box gift arrives in and reuse the gift baskets.

INCOMING AND OUTGOING DELIVERIES:

Every day we receive deliveries and ship out packages with UPS & FEDEX. To the best of our ability, we encourage these services to deliver and pick up at the same time, thereby avoiding 2 trips per day to our facility.
